I wanted to provide you with an update regarding ASB, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. **UPDATE** DISPERSAL ORDER ISSUED, SUTTON BRIDGE
Yesterday (18 June), we told you about a dispersal order being issued in Sutton Bridge for 18 June into 19 June.
To update you, there was one public order offence recorded, and three dispersal notices issued overnight in response to reports of anti-social behaviour by young people in the area.
Another dispersal order has been authorised by Chief Inspector Matt Dickinson for 19 June 2026 between 3pm and 20 June until 7am. This Section 35 Dispersal Order gives officers the power to require individuals to leave a specified area of Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge and all roads directly adjoining including the grounds of the Sutton Bridge Memorial Park, if they are contributing, or are likely to contribute, to harassment, alarm, distress, crime or disorder. Failure to comply with a direction to leave is an arrestable offence.
Chief Inspector Dickinson said: “My officers will be patrolling the area over the weekend and, to reiterate Sergeant Corder’s message of yesterday: any offences will be dealt with robustly. We simply will not tolerate a small minority of young people impacting the wellbeing of residents and the wider community. We continue to investigate, as priority, any reports that are made in relation to these incidents.”
We are appealing to anyone who has witnessed any of these incidents over the past week to come forward. Please contact us quoting incident reference 177 of 18 June 2026.
